HEA - Donauland Transistor radio

Rare and almost perfectly preserved transistor radio from Austria with flawless reception. Manufacturer: HEA. Model: Donauland. Year: 1962. Visual condition: very good - only slight signs of aging - on the left a very small defect in the upholstery that is only visible in close-up) (manufacturing-related plastic frame, at the top left and right a small crack under tension - “no defect”). Internally also absolutely original, dust-free and visually very good. Technical condition: tested. Volume control works flawlessly. Band selector works flawlessly. Scale and tuning capacitor operate smoothly. Shortwave and Medium Wave. Flawless function - in the evening I could clearly receive several stations on both bands.

Batteries: 2x4.5 V flat batteries - not included!

Number of transistors: 7 - semiconductors. Main principle: superhet generally; IF 459 kHz; 4 audio stages. Bands: Medium Wave, no others. Operation/Voltage: dry batteries / 2 × 4.5 V. Speaker: dynamic speaker, no excitation coil (permanent magnet) / Ø 11 cm = 4.3 inches. Material: leather / fabric / plastic / canvas over various materials. Model: Donauland MW [antenna jack on the side in the handle] - HEA; Vienna. Form: travel device > 20 cm (independently operable from mains).
