Islamic glass flacon with a spherical body and a horizontal shoulder, in translucent yellowish glass with a molded diamond relief pattern, 84 × 75 × 75 mm, dating to the 8th–11th century AD, acquired from a French collection and supplied with a certificate of authenticity and export licence.

Pale yellow translucent glass bottle with a spherical body, horizontal shoulder, and a rounded base with a reentrant and slightly convex fondo. The entire body presents a molded relief pattern of diamonds, arranged in a quincunx on three rows and obtained by blowing into a mold. Four small protrusions are present in the lower part of the body, from which lines emanate converging toward the center of the base. The upper part of the body is accentuated by a horizontal lip encircling the glass at the shoulder’s base. The cylindrical neck, wide, preserves in places a fine dark glass string applied hot in a helical groove. It ends with a straight, cut lip that is slightly softened. Relatively heavy and with thick walls, this glass retains partial traces of golden irisation as well as fine black particles trapped in its mass.
