Artist's book with four engravings and drypoint prints not bound to Walter Valentini's book, including the one on the cover. The volume, printed in 70 copies of which 55 are numbered in Arabic numerals and 15 in Roman numerals, includes texts taken from works by Benedetto Giovio, Fernand De Dartein, Vincenzo Barelli and Richard Bagot, with a preface by Mario Mascetti. The texts set with lead type were printed by Cesare Nani’s printing shop in Como. Edition 1995

Walter Valentini (Pergola, October 22, 1928 – Milan, May 20, 2022) was an Italian painter, sculptor, and engraver, internationally recognized in the field of graphics and engraving.
Valentini created limited-edition volumes of high artistic value on superb handmade paper. The texts are composed using the typographic method "monotype" (printing types designed specifically for the book and then melted into lead). The pages, hand-bound, are accompanied by etchings.
