Elegant set of two classic high armchairs/bergères, crafted with a beautifully shaped and richly decorated wooden frame. The armchairs feature a tall, button-tufted back, comfortable closed side panels, and loose seat cushions.

The wooden frame is adorned with characteristic carving featuring floral motifs and scrollwork on, among other parts, the peak, armrests, and bottom edge. The curved lines, Cabriole-like legs, and decorative finish give the chairs an elegant French-classical appearance.

The upholstery is in a beige/gold-toned velvety fabric and finished with decorative nails. The fabric shows signs of use and age, including localized discoloration and wear. The wooden frame displays a nicely seasoned patina.
