AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

This very nice and well-driving Triumph Spitfire 1500 MK4 is from 1979, and it is a beautiful eye-catcher! The car has been with the last family since 2002, and has not been used much for about 10 years. The car has a deregistered German registration. The car is now located in Hengevelde, Netherlands.

Documents:
With the current deregistered German registration, and the seller’s invoice, the Spitfire can be easily registered in the country of the new owner.

Bodywork:
The car was professionally repainted years ago in the current silver-gray metallic; the original color was blue. This blue is no longer visible, except above the pedals when looking under the dashboard. There are only hardly any signs of use; the car is exceptionally beautiful. See the photos.
It has an older soft top, manual operation (easy to open and close), in neat original condition; this is truly a well-loved sunny-day car. The underside of the car is in very good condition. The chrome parts have some patina, can be polished nicely if desired, and the mechanism of the left window could be checked. In short, a very neat car.

Technical:
The car starts immediately, and because of the limited use in recent years, a service is always a good idea, as with any used car. Then the speedometer/odometer can be checked, and the brakes should also be checked. The tires have sufficient tread but are old.

Interior:
The interior has remained tidy; the door panels were replaced at some point by the current wooden panels. The radio has not been tested.

PICK-UP:
The car is in Hengevelde, Netherlands and can of course be picked up there or delivered for an additional cost.

OTHER INFORMATION:
The car can be delivered at relatively low cost to the entire European Union (possibly worldwide) by a professional carrier for an extra charge.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
