The Canon AV-1 (1979) was Canon's aperture-priority answer to the shutter-priority AE-1 — you choose the aperture, the camera picks the shutter speed, and that is the whole of it. That simplicity made it a favourite first SLR for a generation, and it remains an easy, pleasant camera to shoot today. It uses the Canon FD mount and is offered here with the FD 50mm f/1.8 standard lens.
