Exclusive artist-designed desk sculpture by Bruno Cassinari, featuring a travertine cylinder base with a bronzed bas-relief of a dynamic horse, made in Italy in the 1970s–1990s, in excellent condition with its original case and certificate, weighing about 320 g and bearing a gold plaque with the ALTOS COMPUTER SYSTEMS logo.
Description from the seller
An exclusive artist-signed paperweight by Master Bruno Cassinari is up for auction. A sculptural piece of great tactile charm, issued by the SpiraleArte gallery in Milan.
The work consists of a solid cylindrical base made of travertine, on which is inset a magnificent bronze bas-relief depicting a dynamic horse in motion. The choice of travertine gives the object an elegant sculptural aspect: the natural veining and porosity visible in the stone are not signs of wear, but intrinsic and natural characteristics of this precious material (weight approximately 320.07 g).
What makes this lot even rarer and more interesting for collectors is the presence of a gold-plated plate applied to the edge with the logo "ALTOS COMPUTER SYSTEMS". This detail testifies that the piece was originally commissioned as a prestigious corporate gift by the historic American computer company, blending the world of Italian art with the history of computing.
The object is presented in excellent preserved condition. It comes complete with its original case (characterized by an elegant dark red lining and soft velvet interior), as well as the period’s paper certificate of authenticity.
A collectible piece ideal for art lovers, vintage design enthusiasts, and luxury corporate memorabilia.
