Saint Louis - Carafe - Crystal

An elegant vintage decanter crafted in France by the prestigious Saint-Louis crystal manufactory, renowned for its exceptional clarity, brilliance and centuries-old savoir-faire.
The decanter features a strong, architectural square silhouette, softened by elegantly shaped shoulders and a graceful flared neck. Its substantial crystal body is richly decorated with deep geometric cutting, combining intersecting diamond motifs with bold angular facets. This complex hand-cut pattern captures and refracts the light beautifully, creating a remarkable play of brilliance, depth and subtle rainbow reflections.
Ideal for serving whisky, cognac or other fine spirits, the decanter has the weight, presence and refined proportions expected of fine French crystal. It retains its original gold and black paper label reading “Saint Louis Cristal de France” and is also marked with the Saint-Louis stamp on the underside of the base.
The decanter is presented with a later crystal stopper, which is not original to the piece but complements its proportions and overall appearance elegantly.
The decanter remains in very good vintage condition overall. There is one chip to a corner, clearly shown in the detailed photographs, as well as some light surface scratches consistent with age and previous use. These signs do not diminish the striking decorative presence, clarity or brilliance of the piece.
