1997 Fiat Coupé 20v Turbo in grey, 220 HP, manual transmission, 99,535 km, located in southern Italy with Italian registration, CoC available on request, matching numbers, very good overall condition with minor age-related wear and a recent full service (~500 km ago) and new tyres on 17-inch alloy wheels.
Description from the seller
Fiat Coupé with a sporty character and now increasingly interesting also from a collectible point of view, characterized by the unmistakable design signed by Chris Bangle for the Fiat Style Center and by the interiors designed by Pininfarina, as testified by the relevant emblems present in the cabin and on the body.
The example presents itself overall in good general condition, considering the vehicle’s age, with a configuration that retains much of the original setup and charm of the model.
## Mechanical and maintenance
From a mechanical point of view the vehicle is in good overall condition and regularly usable.
A complete service has been carried out about 500 km ago, an important element for those looking for an example already subjected to recent routine maintenance.
The instrument panel shows a mileage of about 99,500 km, a figure particularly interesting for a car of this generation, to be understood naturally as the mileage indicated by the instrument.
The vehicle is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, a perfectly coherent solution with the sporty nature of the Coupé.
New tires are also present, mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels, which give the car a more modern and sporty stance.
An update to the registration certificate/ownership book for the 17-inch wheels is to be carried out. This circumstance is explicitly stated to guarantee maximum transparency about the current condition of the vehicle.
There are no electrical problems at the moment; the only thing to note is that the front wiper intermittent function does not work, though the wiper itself remains functional.
## Bodywork and exterior
The bodywork preserves very well the very distinctive lines that made the Fiat Coupé instantly recognizable: sweeping hood, vented headlights, sculpted flank, and the characteristic round rear light configuration.
The dark paint shows good overall gloss and, as visible in the photos, retains a notable ability to reflect the surrounding environment.
There are normal cosmetic signs and small imperfections compatible with the car’s age, visible especially when inspecting the bodywork up close. On the rear bumper there is a more noticeable superficial mark. It is therefore not a unit presented as just restored or without aesthetic flaws, but a well-preserved car that presents well overall and could be further enhanced with some detailing and cosmetic restoration.
The front and rear light clusters appear generally well-preserved and maintain the model’s characteristic aesthetics.
The exhaust features a double-outlet muffler, further emphasizing the car’s sporting rear stance.
The braking system has been upgraded with aluminum air-ready braided brake lines and baffled and drilled rotors.
The hydraulic brake fluid line has been replaced with a braided aluminum line of aeronautical origin.
The air filter has been upgraded with a sporty BMC air filter and the exhaust manifold replaced with an excellent 5-to-1 steel unit crafted by industry professionals.
## Interior
The cabin represents one of the most distinctive points of the car.
The dashboard retains the original Fiat Coupé layout, with the large crosspiece and the analog circular instruments further embellished by an aftermarket turbo gauge on the air vent. The characteristic Pininfarina logo on the dash is present, as well as the period Fiat steering wheel.
The interiors are trimmed in black leather and, from the photos, appear overall well preserved. The rear seats still show good overall integrity, while the components most subject to use show normal signs of time.
Also the carpet, footwell, door panels and coverings are generally tidy.
The car retains several original details, including the sun visors with vanity mirrors and the dedicated Fiat floor mats.
The center console houses the climate controls and an aftermarket Pioneer car radio. Also present are the electric window controls, noting that the passenger-side window goes up and down intermittently but is functional.
## Configuration and general impression
Overall it is a well-preserved Fiat Coupé mechanically in good general condition, with under 100,000 km indicated, recent routine maintenance performed and new tires.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
