Fascinating and solid jewelry case in Neogothic (Gothic Revival) style, dating from the late nineteenth century or early twentieth century. The piece features a richly decorated relief structure on all sides and on the lid, with reliefs depicting figures and architectures inspired by medieval and Gothic sources.
Made in a solid bronze/brass alloy with gilded and tarnished finish, the item stands out for its notable weight and solidity. On the underside plate there is an era stamp (mark "X"), typical of artisanal foundry work of the time for identifying the series or workshop.
The jewelry case is supplied complete with its original stylized key, perfectly functioning with the era's locking mechanism.
