Description from the seller

Detailed Condition Report / Description:

• Overall Classification: Excellent / Flawless Antique Condition (Excellent état / État d'origine impeccable).
• Material Excellence: The entire item is crafted exclusively from high-quality solid walnut (*noyer massif*). There are no secondary or hidden softer woods used in the construction; both the ornamental front turned spindles and the structural rear scalloped lattice bars share the identical premium wood species, grain character, and deep natural coloration.
• Structural Integrity: 100% sound. There are no cracks, breaks, splits, or repairs anywhere on the walnut frame. All 10 original hand-turned front knobs/pegs are firmly intact and securely attached. The top slatted dowel hat shelf is completely stable with no warping or bent pieces.
• Mechanical Function: Untested/Fixed Display Position. To fully preserve the delicate century-old wood joints and protect the historical pivot pins from stress, the accordion mechanism has deliberately NOT been forced or tested. The item is safely preserved and will be sold/shipped precisely in its ideal, visually balanced display layout (50 x 34 x 21 cm).
• Pristine Original Patina: The piece has never been chemically stripped or modernly varnished, preserving its beautiful, hand-rubbed original finish, natural historical oxidation, and soft antique luster.
• Hardware: Completely original. It retains its genuine stamped metal teardrop wall hanging brackets on the back corners, secured with period-correct, single-slot flathead screws.
• Deficiencies: None. Free of any missing components, loose parts, structural damage, or signs of past woodworm infestation. Ready for immediate wall installation and premium gallery exhibition.
