Description :
Beautiful ceramic guttus with a black gloss finish, featuring a globular and flattened body resting on a molded annular foot.
It is equipped with a long tubular pouring spout with a flared, molded mouth, as well as a vertical annular handle positioned on the opposite side.
The upper part of the body is adorned with a central raised medallion depicting a winged Eros, shown standing and seeming to hold an attribute in his hands, perhaps a bucket.
The medallion is delineated by a raised circle.
The foot retains a red-orange terracotta reserve, characteristic of the contrast with the glossy black glaze covering the vessel as a whole.

Conservation :
Intact. Very good condition, with some light surface wear related to age.
Provenance :
Former Belgian private collection, formed in the 1980s by Mrs. D.
