Brand new, just out of the digital start-set 59108! All functionalities are tested and work very well.
Very good modern DCC central/controller, oriented toward wireless control: it is therefore particularly pleasant if you want to walk around the layout with a real physical throttle rather than a smartphone! It is "ready to use".
The SmartBox is a DCC central/controller with RailComPlus and Ethernet. The documentation also indicates the possibility of connecting up to 32 SmartController WLAN in certain configurations.
An interesting point: the SmartBox can create its own WLAN network or be integrated into the home network.
Power:
- With the standard power supply, we are around 2.25 A / 16 V.
- With the PIKO 55046 power supply, it goes to about 5 A, PIKO indicating this solution for networks with multiple locomotives.
- It is more than sufficient for a substantial installation.
- Up to 16,384 configurable locomotives, with up to 28 functions per locomotive in the SmartBox documentation.
For full power you need an upgrade, available on Piko's site.
