Description from the seller

Winged putto carved in wood – Baroque period, 17th–18th century

Putto or winged angel carved in the round, depicted in a dynamic pose, body in motion and one arm raised. The wings are carved separately and attached to the back.

This figure originally belonged to a larger religious ensemble, probably an altar decoration, an altarpiece, or a Baroque architectural composition.

Old wood with a dark brown patina and traces of an earlier finish. Wear, cracks, small losses consistent with the age of the sculpture.

Presented on a modern metal base.

The photos are an integral part of the object description and complement its presentation. They allow the condition and features to be appreciated. Please examine them carefully before placing any bid.

The item will be carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking number to ensure fast and secure delivery.

Happy bidding
