Beautiful specimen of ruby variety corundum from Madagascar, characterized by a well-defined crystal and good size, set in a matrix with irregular morphology.
The ruby shows an intense red-violet hue, which creates a pleasant contrast with the lighter and darker tones of the matrix. The crystal retains a clearly recognizable shape and gives the specimen a bold and very natural appearance.
Under UV light the ruby develops an exceptionally intense fluorescence, particularly striking and clearly visible in dedicated photographs.
The tone and intensity of the fluorescence can vary depending on the UV lamp used.
The photographs are an integral part of the description.
