eduardo rossi - Sculpture, La forosetta - 27 cm - Patinated bronze

A sculpture from a model by Eduardo Rossi (Naples, 1867 – 1926). "La Forosetta" (also on the international antique market known as "Donna" or "Jeunesse"), a famous bronze bust cast by the renowned Italian realist sculptor.
Eduardo (or Edoardo) Rossi trained at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples under the guidance of master Achille D’Orsi. He developed a style strongly characterized by Neapolitan social realism and verismo, enriched with delicate Liberty nuances.
The height is about 27 cm, weight 2.5 kg.
In good condition with normal signs of time and wear, small deficiencies on the marble base.
