Jones & Crompton - Salt boat (2) - d. 1919 - octagonal model + silver salt spoon - .925 silver

Set of silver Victorian-style salt cellars, beautifully 8-sided, standing on a pedestal foot, with the original blue glass liners.
There comes 1 silver salt spoon that originally accompanies it.

Both bearing all English hallmarks:
- Maker’s mark J&C = Jones & Crompton (Edward Samuel Jones & Hubert Crompton)
- Lion passant for English sterling silver
- Birmingham city mark
- Year letter u for 1919
The salt spoon carries the same marks, only with year letter t for 1918.

Diameter of body 5.5 cm. / rim and foot 4.5 cm.
Width at the bows/handles 8.4 cm.
Height at rim 5.5 cm. / at handles 6.5 cm.
Length of the salt spoon 5.5 cm.

Silver weight 66 g.
Total weight 126 g.
The silver on both basins shows some signs of wear. One has a few small dings on one side and the other has light openings/cracks in the corners, see photos... this is not troublesome and they can of course be used as is.
Otherwise they are in good condition, as is the spoon.
