AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Old bronze mantel clock with porcelain, from 1855, Jappy Freres.
Condition: Works perfectly, both springs are in good order.
Unfortunately, during transport from Paris it no longer strikes the gong, but nothing else should be wrong.
Due to health issues I cannot disassemble and adjust/repair the striking mechanism; my fingers aren’t what they used to be, but as stated it works very well—only the arm that strikes the gong needs to be freed. It shouldn’t be anything serious.
The mantel clock is heavy because the bronze figures are solid.
