Antique chromatrope from the period around 1880.

The chromatrope uses two glass discs, painted with abstract patterns, which, when they spin in opposite directions, produce similar images on the screen. It seems as if the patterns radiate from the center of the screen, or move toward the center, depending on the direction in which the discs rotate.
There can be astonishing, dazzling effects produced with the chromatrope.
The chromatrope effect is appealing and sometimes even somewhat hypnotic.

This lot has been carefully cleaned and will be carefully packaged, sent by registered mail and insured (with a Track & Trace code so you can track the shipment). Pickup in (Ridderkerk- South Holland) is also possible. I have delicious freshly ground coffee.
