Prussian 3 Mark silver commemorative coin minted in 1913 to celebrate the centenary of the defeat of Napoleon in the Wars of Liberation. The obverse features a German imperial eagle in an aggressive stance, gripping a serpent, a symbol of victory, with a heraldic style of strong symbolic charge. The reverse shows a detailed scene with the king on horseback surrounded by military and civilian figures, in a narrative composition of great historical and artistic richness. The specimen retains good overall lustre with defined reliefs. It has an attractive visual presence and represents an important testament to German nationalism prior to World War I.
