Flask - .830 silver

Elegant and uncommon cylindrical case made of 830 sterling silver, originally intended to hold a small bottle for perfume, essence, aromatic water, oil, or other personal-use liquids.

The exterior features an attractive geometric engraving, formed by diamonds (lozenges), triangles, and stylized radial motifs, giving it a pronounced Art Deco / geometric character.

The case consists of two parts, with a top lid equipped with a cord and a decorative tassel. Inside there is currently a small removable bottle with a screw cap. A particularly interesting feature is that the inner container is not fixed to the case, so it can be removed and replaced with another bottle of suitable dimensions. In this way, the piece can be used for perfume as well as essences, aromatic oils, or other small contents.

The piece is stamped “830”, corresponding to an alloy of silver 830 thousandths, historically used in various European countries. Based on its stylistic and manufacturing characteristics, its origin is likely Central European, possibly German, though the exact attribution cannot be confirmed solely from the visible hallmarks.

Shows signs of use and age, small marks, scratches, and a superficial patina, especially noticeable on the interior areas, in keeping with its age and use.
