Rare Napoléon III era liquor service in patinated régule, depicting a water bearer with a barrel and a complete set of six engraved liqueur cups (with possibly two added), measuring about 29.5 cm high and 18 cm wide and deep.

Description
Remarkable and fairly complete liqueur service/dispenser from the Napoléon III era (second half of the 19th century) representing the figure of a water carrier in régule patinated.
Details of the ensemble :
The sculpture : Representation of a water carrier in régule with brown patina supported by an oval terrace adorned with vegetal motifs. He carries a golden ladder supporting a molded glass barrel with its brass tap.
The pedestal : Ornate base enhanced with a Greek key frieze and resting on four leafy feet in bronze/gilded metal.
The glassware : Complete set of its 6 small liqueur cups in blown glass, delicately wheel-engraved with floral/foliage motifs and highlighted with a gold filet on the neck.
Specifications & State :
Era : 19th century (circa 1870-1890)
Overall condition : Very good original condition. Beautiful patina of the figure, wear visible and gilding well preserved. The barrel is intact.
Glass : The 6 cups are all original, 2 seem to have been added. Note slight micro-chips of use and very discreet cracks on the rim of a few cups (see close-up photos), all photos serve as description, please look carefully at the photos;)
