Kalkmann Audio Nachtegaal stereo loudspeakers, a passive two‑way 40 W system designed by Huib Kalkman, manufactured in 2010, in very good physical condition and functionally tested and working, supplied as a set of two with box, weight 12 kg.
Description from the seller
A special little set of loudspeakers from good Dutch soil: the Kalkmann Audio Nacht e gaal. This high-end stereo speaker (passive 2-way, 40 watts) was designed by Huib Kalkman from Breda, who, with his patented acoustic/mechanical filter, developed a unique technique to reproduce sound as natural, clear, and undistorted.
Instead of a classic electrical crossover filter, Kalkmann uses two identical drivers, each in its own acoustical chamber of different size. The driver in the smallest space behaves as a treble loudspeaker, while the driver in the larger space (with a bass-reflex port) handles the midrange and bass.
The result: a transparent, relaxed sound image that doesn’t fatigue — the speakers have even become known for their suitability for people with hearing problems and tinnitus.
A rare and striking piece of Dutch audio innovation, with a recognizable look thanks to the double yellow drivers.
