Description from the seller

Elegant Drum Table Auxiliary in Transition Style (Louis XV / Louis XVI) with Marquetry and Bronzes
Lovely auxiliary piece of furniture or oval-shaped living room table (drum table style or chiffonnière), crafted in the second half of the 20th century following the refined canons of 18th-century French classical cabinetmaking. A highly decorative piece, ideal for classical salons, bedrooms, or exclusive-design environments.
Style: Transition Style. It combines the slender Cabriole-style curved legs typical of Louis XV with the geometric structure, symmetry, and moldings characteristic of Louis XVI.
Materials: Built in noble woods (mahogany and walnut) with superb veneer work and contrasting geometric marquetry on the front door and the lower shelf, all finished in a brilliant mirror-like varnish.
Ornamentation: Rich decorative applications of bronze or gilt brass on the upper part of the legs (bronze drops with classical motifs), a subtle handle on the central door, and an openwork brass perimeter gallery that protects the top surface.
Approximate dimensions: 75 cm high x 50 cm wide x 40 cm deep.
Approximate weight: 10 – 15 kg.
Condition: Very good overall condition. The wood shows excellent grain and luster, the structure is solid, and the door closes properly. It presents minimal signs of use and age that do not detract from its beauty.
