Description from the seller
Antique Art Nouveau plant stand / pedestal – circa 1900–1920
Magnificent antique tall plant stand, flower stand or pedestal, presumably from the early 20th century, circa 1900–1920.
The piece is finished in warm brown wood and features a characteristic square top with multiple layered edges. The tall, slender legs are slightly tapered and feature subtle vertical profiling.
Particularly beautiful is the hand-carved decorative panel beneath the top surface. It incorporates floral motifs with leaves, flowers, and graceful curling tendrils. This rich organic decoration is characteristic of the Jugendstil / Art Nouveau period.
At the bottom there is a second wooden platform, making the plant stand both decorative and practical. The piece is very well suited for presenting a large plant, vase, statue, or other decorative object.
