French mid-century style table in brass and oak, model Diseño Moderno, with two dark glass shelves, dimensions 57 cm wide by 57 cm deep by 40 cm high, dating to 1970–1980, in good used condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
It is a table from the 70s that embodies that very particular French spirit, where elegance blends with a thematic wink — in this case, nautical — without being literal. The structure combines gold-toned brass with oak wood, two materials that speak to each other naturally: oak adds warmth and texture, while brass introduces shine, sophistication and that glamorous touch so characteristic of the decade.
The cylindrical legs and metal fittings discreetly evoke nautical elements: a sense of ropes, hardware and vessel details reinterpreted in a domestic key, more suggested than declared. The design maintains clean lines and balanced proportions, very in tune with the French taste for formal clarity and functional elegance.
The two dark crystals, one on top and one on the lower shelf, add visual depth and a refined contrast with the gold of the metal. Its smoky tone intensifies the seventies aesthetic, creating a play of transparencies that makes the table appear lighter and at the same time more sophisticated.
Overall, it is a piece that blends seventies modernity, noble materials and a subtle nautical imagination, perfect for interiors that seek character, history and a chic French touch.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
