Description from the seller
A coffee table from the first half of the 20th century that interprets Art Deco through a domestic and elegant lens, where geometry, noble materials, and a sense of modernity combine naturally. The structure, made of wood with details and tips in gilded brass, shows that taste for clean lines and well-defined volumes that characterized the movement: nothing is superfluous, but everything has aesthetic intention.
The two levels provide functionality and visual rhythm. The upper, conceived as the main surface, rises clearly above the structure, while the lower one acts as an auxiliary shelf, creating a stepped silhouette very typical of deco, where the furniture's architecture becomes part of the design. The brass, with its warm shine, introduces a restrained touch of luxury, balancing the sobriety of the wood and reinforcing the sculptural presence of the piece.
The piece preserves that urban, modern feel that defined the aesthetics of the 1920s and 1930s, reinterpreted in the first half of the 20th century with accessible materials but worked with care. It is a table that adds character, history, and geometric elegance that still reads as contemporary.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
