Pioneer SX-300 stereo receiver
Beautiful vintage receiver from the golden years of Pioneer
The Pioneer SX-300 is a classic vintage AM/FM stereo receiver produced by Pioneer between 1973 and 1976. Despite its modest power, this unit is known for its reliability and warm analog sound
Optically in very nice condition, with only minuscule traces of use
Regarding the technical side: the receiver is completely cleaned inside and out, various aging components replaced and extensively tested. The dial illumination has been replaced with LED tube lamps
All potentiometers and switches have been cleaned, so no crackling knobs or switches
The combination with the brushed aluminum front, aluminum knobs, black wooden woodcase, and blue scale illumination gives this unit a uniquely beautiful and high-quality vintage appearance
The receiver is equipped with various connection options, including a very good phono input
The tuner section delivers exceptionally clean FM stereo reception, and the tuning is very selective, even with a simple wire as an antenna
The sound quality is truly fantastic, with that typical warm and punchy 70s sound
