Description from the seller
Hennessy Le Peu Single Distillery Cognac is a rare, discontinued limited-edition spirit launched in 1998 as part of Hennessy's experimental "Single Distillery" series. Sourced entirely from the single Le Peu distillery in the prestigious Grande Champagne crus, this non-vintage release breaks away from traditional multi-distillery blending to highlight a specific terroir.
The Distillery: Located in the Juillac-le-Coq area within the heart of the Cognac region.
Terroir Character: Crafted from Ugni Blanc grapes grown in the region's signature crumbly chalk soils, which yield exceptionally fine, ethereal eaux-de-vie.
Distillation: Undergoes traditional double distillation in Charentais copper stills.Aging Spectrum: Composed of eaux-de-vie aged in French oak barrels for a range of 7 to 25 years.
Aroma: Bright and fruity with a hot citrus blast, nectarine, pear, vine flowers, and fresh hazelnuts.
Palate: Velvety and rich, showcasing ripe tropical fruits, honey, vanilla, baking spices, and a touch of roasted almond.
Finish: Long, clean, and elegant, tapering off with subtle notes of sweet tobacco, delicate leather, and light oak.
