Art Deco glass table lamp with a frosted, faceted glass shade and a chrome metal base, dating from the 20th century around 1925–1935 and made in France, in very good vintage condition with light signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Facet-paned frosted glass Art Deco table lamp with chrome metal base
Stunning Art Deco table lamp, remarkable for its frosted glass diffuser with geometrically sculpted facets. Its polygonal silhouette, composed of crisp planes and precise edges, evokes the crystalline forms prized in 1920s–1930s design.
The glass, thick and finely worked, features a satin finish that softens the light while revealing the angular structure of the lampshade. The flat surfaces catch reflections with discreet elegance, creating a subtle play between transparency and opalescence.
The diffuser rests on a circular chrome metal base, polished like a mirror. This bright mounting, dotted with small decorative screws, provides a modern, luminous contrast to the gentleness of the frosted glass. Its flawless finish emphasizes the architectural character of the piece and reinforces its decidedly Art Deco look.
The whole embodies the meeting of geometric rigor, noble materials, and timeless refinement, hallmarks of luminaires from this period.
