Beautiful Ewe statuette from Ghana. Its face is radiant. Its expression is moving, gentle and joyful. It looks at us with love and compassion. It is seated, settled, anchored in a serene strength. The sculptor has succeeded, through this work, in conveying an emotion to us. It makes me think of certain representations of Buddha. Beautiful dry patina. The wood is old, oxidized and eroded in places. Sold as is, see photos. A beautiful piece of collection, ancient and authentic. Circa 1960.

Belle statuette Ewe du Ghana. Son visage est rayonnant. Son expression est émouvante, douce et joyeuse. Il nous regarde avec amour et compassion. Il est assis, en place, ancré dans une force sereine. Le sculpteur à réussi à travers cette oeuvre a nous faire passer une émotion. Il me fait pensé a certaines représentations de Bouddah. Belle patine sèche. Le bois est ancien, oxydé et érodé par endroits. Vendu en l'état, voir photos. Une belle pièce de collection ancienne et authentique. Circa 1960.
