Description from the seller
Antoni Flores for Sargot Barcelona – “Gina” Telescopic Desk Lamp, c. 1979
A striking and rare postmodern “Gina” desk lamp, designed by Antoni Flores and produced by Sargot, Barcelona, around 1979.
The futuristic cylindrical body combines glossy black lacquered finish with three cobalt-blue translucent rings that glow beautifully when illuminated. The upper section pulls upwards on two chrome-plated telescopic arms, allowing the lamp to be adjusted in height and positioned at different angles.
The lamp features its original dimmer control, original wiring and European plug. The original Sargot manufacturer's label is present on the underside.
A superb example of late 1970s Spanish postmodern design, with strong Memphis and Space Age influences.
Condition: Good pre-loved condition with light signs of age and use. Fully tested and working. The chrome arms operate smoothly and the shade tilts correctly.
