Description from the seller
Guzzini pendant "Elpis" - Harvey Guzzini, Italy, 1970s
Ceiling lamp "Elpis" embodies the futuristic aesthetics of the Space Age era. This beautiful piece features a conical, white mushroom-shaped acrylic lampshade with a gradient, complemented by a round white acrylic diffuser and an elegant chrome ring.
The pendant lamp was made by the internal design team of iGuzzini (Ufficio Tecnico Interno) and bears the label "iGuzzini". This guarantees that production took place between 1974 and 1982, before the company renamed itself to "iGuzzini illuminazione".
The name "Elpis" is inspired by Greek mythology, where Elpis stands for the female personification and spirit of hope, which adds a symbolic layer to the timeless design.
