Wall sconce (2) - Wrought iron - Pair of Baroque wall sconces.

This splendid pair of wall sconces is made of carved and gilded wood, decorated with rich floral motifs, foliate volutes and ramages typical of the Louis XV or Baroque style. Each element features two symmetrical lamp arms ending with finely decorated bobeches, prepared for electrification with candle-style bulbs. The finishes combine gold-leaf gilded parts with darkened areas, highlighting the depth and high craftsmanship of the carving, dating most likely to the first half of the 20th century or to earlier periods.
Each sconce has 2 candle holders for lamp attachments, functioning electrical system.
The height is about 75 cm, in good condition.
