AGDA mechanical mantel clock from Germany, dating to circa 1960, made of cast brass, with a mechanical hand-wound movement, no strike, running with a multi-day power reserve; dimensions 24 x 16 x 5.5 cm, weight 435 g, in good vintage condition with minor signs of age.

AGDA very ornate mechanical table clock – circa 1960
Beautifully decorated vintage AGDA table clock with mechanical movement and figures
Offered is a very decorative mechanical table clock from the German brand AGDA, probably dating from around 1960.
The clock is made of a brass-colored metal alloy and has a particularly richly decorated housing with pronounced Baroque/Neobaroque ornaments. On either side of the open lower section are two nicely shaped figures. The top is richly adorned with graceful scrolls, ornaments and a decorative finial.
The dial has Roman numerals and a finely detailed decorative center. On the back there is the AGDA marking and the mechanical movement.
The movement is wound manually from the back. No key needed. The clock runs and ticks nicely and well at the moment. It is a simple mechanical movement without chimes.
