But she is not alone: three kind and attentive figures watch over her, including a bear, the patriarch, who takes charge of her education and gently aims to lead her back toward civilization. One immediately thinks of Kipling’s work when reading Pyrénée, which has its poetry and sensitivity. His unique gift for storytelling prompted Régis Loisel to write this story, drawn with great sensitivity by Philippe Sternis
