Description from the seller

Collection of 3 antique mechanical corkscrews – wood, steel and brass – ca. 1880–1930

Collection of three old mechanical corkscrews, presumably manufactured in Europe between circa 1880 and 1930.

The collection consists of:

1. An open-frame corkscrew in metal with a nicely shaped dark wooden handle and a continuous screw mechanism.
2. A larger rack-and-pinion corkscrew, also known as a “rack-and-pinion” model. Equipped with a turned wooden handle, side lever, and an original brush for removing dust and residue around the bottle neck. This is the most special specimen of the three.
3. A metal open-frame corkscrew with a wing-nut mechanism and a distinctive flat metal grip.

The corkscrews are in authentic, used condition with signs of age, wear, patina, and local oxidation. The spirals are present and undamaged. Not polished or restored, so the original appearance has been preserved.

No clearly readable maker marks or manufacturer names were found on the visible sides. Please examine the photos carefully; they form an integral part of the description.
