Description from the seller

Marchesi di Barolo – Barolo DOCG Riserva 2009
Classic and traditionally styled Barolo Riserva from the historic house Marchesi di Barolo, founded in 1861 and regarded as one of the founding estates of Barolo itself.
Produced exclusively from 100% Nebbiolo and released only after extended ageing, this Riserva represents a more structured and long‑lived expression than the estate’s standard Barolo bottlings.
The 2009 vintage in Barolo was characterised by a warm growing season, resulting in wines that are approachable yet still structured, with resolved tannins and complex tertiary aromas developing earlier than in more austere vintages.
Critics & Scores

Wine Spectator: 90/100 points (2009 vintage) – praised for elegance and balance
CellarTracker (community average): ~93 points
Robert Parker / Wine Advocate: No published review or score for the 2009 Barolo Riserva

While not reviewed by Wine Advocate for this specific Riserva bottling, Marchesi di Barolo is widely recognised by critics for its consistent, traditional Barolo style.
