Description from the seller
LOTTO 1 OF 5 (4 CHAIRS) CHECK MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR OTHER CHAIRS OF THE SAME MODEL.
Discount on shipping for multiple purchases to be agreed with the buyer based on the destination of the goods.
4 Kartell chairs/model 4875 in green plastic dating back to the Italian Space Age period.
The chairs are vintage in good condition, though with some signs of wear over time, use and scratching. They still have the original anti-slip end caps under the legs (see the penultimate photo).
The marks are visible in backlighting and hard to show in photos (which are an integral part of the description).
The major defects have been highlighted in dedicated photos; they do not show signs of discoloration.
Stamped under the seat to confirm authenticity (see the last photos).
3 of the 4 chairs have two small holes on the back, on the left side as highlighted in the photo, but this does not affect usability or aesthetic appeal.
Designed by Carlo Bartoli, Italian architect and designer born in Milan in 1931 and recipient of the ADI Compasso d’Oro for lifetime achievement.
Bartoli was the creator of many successful pieces, including the Gaia armchair, included in the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Milan Triennial.
Sage dimensions (CAD chair): width 44 cm, depth 48 cm, height 72 cm, seat height 43 cm.
For practicality and safety reasons, they will be shipped with legs disassembled. They can be screwed on and off by hand without tools.
They will be well packaged. Tracked shipping. Extra-EU customs duties are the buyer’s responsibility.
NB: after purchase, Italian buyers will be asked for their tax code for invoicing via Catawiki messaging.
