Large bronze sculpture of the Petite Danseuse after E. Degas.
"Degas dancer" refers to the many paintings and sculptures of ballet dancers created by the French artist Edgar Degas.
The most famous sculpture is probably the «Petite Danseuse de Quatorze Ans» (Fourteen-Year-Old Dancer), a wax figure by the Belgian Marie van Goethem from 1880, known for its realism.
The sculpture stands on a marble base and bears the signature "Degas" and the founder's mark.
Fine detailing, a beautiful face, and a lovely brown color (patina).
