Vintage Tomado Holland wall rack – design by A.D. Dekker – special edition

A characterful vintage Tomado Holland wall rack, designed by A.D. Dekker, with the recognizable black metal wire uprights and original colored metal shelves in red, blue and yellow.

What makes this specimen extra interesting is the special asymmetric design. In addition to the longer shelves, the rack features smaller shelves on the side, creating a playful and graphic composition. This design deviates from the better-known, more symmetrical Tomado wall racks and is therefore an attractive model for collectors and enthusiasts of Dutch vintage design.

The combination of different shelf sizes, primary colors and the slender black wirework is typical of the modernist design by A.D. Dekker for Tomado and gives the whole piece its distinctive 1950s/60s look.

The components are marked “TOMADO – HOLLAND”.

The rack is in original vintage condition with authentic patina. Signs of use, scratches and localized loss of finish are present and appropriate for its age. These have deliberately not been restored or concealed, so the originality and character are preserved. The photos are part of the description.
