Description from the seller
A pair of authentic, solid silver spice jars, which are excellent pieces of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy's silversmithing art.
The objects are marked with the Diana-head and greyhound-head metal marks typical of the period, which guarantee genuine silver material and official testing. The so-called double metal mark is evidence of the precise authentication process of the time, which covered all elements of the multi-part precious metal objects. These spice jars can not only be elegant accessories to a classic table setting, but also represent a valuable investment for lovers of historical silverware. The pieces await their new owner in a very beautiful patina condition, faithfully reflecting the quality silversmithing of the turn of the century.
