Circular small centerpiece in solid silver 800/1000, made in Italy (Tuscany), designed by Athos Masi, dating to 1968–1971, with a 14 cm diameter, 2.7 cm height, and 113 g weight, featuring a pierced Baroque/Neoclassical edge and a mirrored base, in good condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Description: Small circular centerpiece (also usable as a premium bottle coaster). It features an elaborate fretwork cut with a ringhierina along the entire upper edge, with volute motifs typical of Florentine Baroque style. The mirrored bottom perfectly reflects the characteristics of antique hand-worked silver.
Material: Solid silver (800/1000 fineness).
Style: Neoclassical / Italian Baroque, characterized by raised lobed edges with bead and scroll motifs.
Stamp: 800 enclosed in an oval (silver fineness) and a star 373 FI inside a lozenge (mark of the silversmith Masi Athos of Florence). Above the stamp it reads "handmade". The company used this specific stamp only between 1968 and 1971, making these pieces historically limited.
Period: 1968-1971
Size: Diameter 14 cm. Weight: 113 grams total.
Condition: Good / Fair, the object retains its sheen and the definition of the fretwork, but shows small dents on the bottom due to wear and use over time (visible in photos).
