Bang & Olufsen - Beogram 5005 Turntable

This B&O Beogram 5005 turntable is from 1985. The 2-speed player is equipped with a double tangential arm. The advantage of this is a flawless playback angle and automatic detection of record diameter and speed.

The 5005 is the successor to the Beogram 5000; the difference lies mainly in the tangential arm. Repeat and Search functions are available, as well as the possibility to use the B&O Datalink system.
The record detection takes place by measuring the record pressure. As a result, the 2nd arm has no function anymore, and it only serves as a carrier for the speed indicator light.
