Mortar - Bronze

Almirez or mortar used in a pharmacy or apothecary, made of cast bronze, with two handles and the original pestle. Spain. First half of the 18th century.

The piece is in good condition, though with wear consistent with age and presenting a very attractive patina (the images are part of the description).

The mortar weighs 475 grams and measures 8 centimeters in height, with a lower diameter of 5.5 centimeters and an upper diameter of 8.5 centimeters. The pestle is 13 centimeters long and weighs 160 grams.
