Candlestick (2) - Gilt bronze - Cast bronze candlesticks

Pair of French bronze gilt candle holders, with elegant historicist design and clear neoclassical inspiration, featuring square stepped bases, turned columns and terminals in the shape of small cups. Due to their design and workmanship, they can be placed approximately in the second half of the 19th century, around 1870-1890, within the decorative production of the Napoleon III period.

They preserve a significant portion of the original gilding, though they show wear, losses and small surface alterations, especially visible on one of the pieces, which add an attractive patina of antiquity.

Dimensions: 8 × 8 cm base x 18 cm high.
Weight: 400 g each.
Condition: good, with wear and losses of gilding typical of antiques.
