Description from the seller

Beautiful hood ornament, made of chrome-plated metal

It depicts a woman in full speed on an Auburn automobile from the mid-1930s, a "Flying Lady", or "Flying Goddess".
This iconic figurine was mounted on the luxury cars of the American brand Auburn Automobile Company, such as the famous Auburn 851 Supercharged Speedster. Art Deco style.
The ornament is a perfect example of the streamlined Art Deco art of the period and depicts a reclining, streamlined female figure with her arms or wings stretched tightly back. It was meant to convey speed, luxury, and progress.

In incomplete condition
It was likely broken at some point, after which the upper part was converted by a collector into a display item, on a base
It has been repainted, but the chrome is still visible underneath
Nevertheless, it looks fantastic in the automobilia display case
Still conveys the essence of what it represents

Dimensions of the figure without the base:
height 4.7 cm, length 10.6 cm
Thus it is about half the size of an original ornament; this will be a reproduction, but of high quality
