Important lot of 97 Notgeld banknotes, issued mainly in Germany and Austria between 1920 and 1922, with varied municipal and regional issues and numerous illustrated designs (towns, monuments, landscapes, daily life, occupations and local costumes), including Wachau Austrian Notgeld and a 1921 1 Pfennig Reichenfels/Triebes–Hohenleuben–Langenwetzendorf note, all in varying circulated condition and depicted on the accompanying photos.

Important set of 97 necessity banknotes – Notgeld, mainly issued in Germany and Austria between 1920 and 1922.
Very varied collection including many municipal and regional issues, with different denominations and many illustrated banknotes depicting towns, monuments, castles, landscapes, scenes of daily life, trades, costumes and local traditions.
Among the towns and regions represented are notably:
Wachau / Spitz an der Donau, Weißenkirchen, Schloss Ranna-Mühldorf, Dürnstein, Aschersleben, Eisenach, Stützerbach, Eutin, Erfde / Stapelholm, Gernrode-Harz, Büdelsdorf, Reichenfels – Triebes / Hohenleuben / Langenwetzendorf, Wismar, Fürstenberg, Neubrandenburg, Ribnitz, Schwerin, Birkenfeld, Emmendingen, Merseburg, Blumenthal, as well as other local issues.
The lot includes notably several interesting Austrian Wachau Notgeld issues, various Aschersleben banknotes, as well as a 1 Pfennig Reichenfels / Triebes – Hohenleuben – Langenwetzendorf from 1921.
