French 1950s–1960s wooden pendulum clock by Odo, with a mechanical 8‑day movement, half‑hour strike with bell and gong, a gilded octagonal dial and jaquemart automaton, in a dark wood case.
Description from the seller
Wooden Case: Rectangular dark wood structure polished with a front door having a single-leaf hinge on the right. The upper and lower parts of the door glass feature geometric decorations and gold motifs printed on the glass.
Quadrant:
Smoothed octagonal shape in gilt metal and cream two-tone.
Black arabic numerals with a square geometric font in late Art Deco / Mid-Century Modern style.
ODO logo printed at the center below 12.
Two winding holes with a key (for the chime and the time).
Automaton (Jaquemart): A gold metal figurine placed atop the dial, depicting a gladiator/warrior wielding a hammer and striking a brass bell at the moment of the chime.
Pendulum (Balance): A rigid central rod supporting a faceted gleaming gilt disc, coordinated with the octagonal lines of the dial.
Condition: Preserved with its original instruction sheet from the era (printed in four languages for export).
