This exceptional set brings together two of the most iconic and representative portraits of Bob Dylan during his golden era in the mid-1960s, a decisive period when he forever transformed folk music and modern rock. The first photograph, captured by acclaimed photographer Jerry Schatzberg in 1965, depicts Dylan covering his face with his hand while holding a cigarette, a timeless composition that ultimately became the famous cover art for the groundbreaking album Blonde on Blonde (1966). The second image, from the Bettmann Archive, captures the musician inside the recording studio holding an electric bass with his harmonica rack around his neck, freezing the intense creative atmosphere of his most legendary recording sessions.
